The Majestic (Midtown):
$$ / Detroit staple, the adjacent bowling alley was the first in the city. quite a popular spot on Sunday's, solid food and environment.
1917 American Bistro (Ave of Fashion):
$$ / this is where theHAPPENING started in 2015. really good food, note is has a small bar and beautiful patio. Avenue of Fashion is a historic avenue in Detroit, making it a must-try.
Dime Store (Downtown):
$$ / some of the best food downtown, likely to take awhile to get a table. have brunch any day because they have a mostly breakfast/lunch menu the latest they close is 4 PM. drinks on point too, try the beermosa.
Honest John's (Midtown):
$ / Seun’s go-to wknd brunch spot. cheap american breakfast foods with billards & board games. One of those midtown watering holes that attracts everyone.
Sweet Potato Sensations (Grandmont Rosedale):
$$ / personal favorite of LL's, almost the entire menu is accompanied with sweet potato-based foods (ie. pancakes / waffles). you never knowhow much you like sweet potatoes until you come to this place. no liq tho.
Honorable Mention: La Dolce Vita (Palmer Park) $$ / highkey won’t even think you are in the city when you sit in the lush courtyard thats been around since the 90s. Good food and drank at a good price point.
